5. Online Giving

5.1 Payment Processing

Online donations made through the Website are processed securely by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full credit card, debit card, or bank account numbers on our servers. All payment data is transmitted directly to Stripe using industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL) and is subject to Stripe’s Privacy Policy and Stripe’s Terms of Service.

5.2 Supported Payment Methods

We accept credit cards, debit cards, and ACH bank transfers for online giving.

5.3 Fee Coverage

When making a donation, you may choose to cover the processing fees so that 100% of your intended gift reaches the church. Fee coverage is optional and clearly disclosed before you complete your transaction. The fee coverage option is pre-selected for card payments and not pre-selected for bank transfers; you may change this selection at any time before submitting.

5.4 Refund Policy

If you believe a donation was made in error or an incorrect amount was charged, please contact the church office within 30 days of the transaction. We will review refund requests on a case-by-case basis and process approved refunds through the original payment method. Please allow 5–10 business days for refunds to appear on your statement.

5.5 Tax Receipts

WFUMC is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Giving records are maintained in ChurchPulse and contribution statements are available upon request. Online gifts are recorded with the date, amount, fund designation, and donor information you provide.

5.6 Recurring Giving

At this time, online giving is processed as one-time donations. If recurring giving features are introduced in the future, additional terms will apply and you will be notified.
